This has been a crazy weekend. My baby sister turned 50 and we surprised her with a 10 a.m. Happy Birthday greeting and then surprised her again with a birthday lunch that included several dozen of her friends.
There was a lot of driving involved and a lot of eating too.
The startling thing for me was that on Sunday I actually managed to get off the sofa and go for a walk. It was a small walk but it happened and that is the amazing part.
I have a bad habit of sitting and staring at the wall reminding myself that I have to get up and move or I will die. Even that threat will not motivate me. But yesterday, I did it. I got up. Put on my sneakers and MOVED!
Motivated by that I plan to do it again today.
